Illustration is fun, but animation is funnerer.
Be it frame by frame, tweened, rotoscoped or scripted, animation makes things look cool, and there is nothing cooler than bringing your scribbles to life with a little bit of animation.
I love animation and am constantly striving to do it better. I make huge strides in my education from each project I complete. There is no certificate out there that can teach anyone what I have learned over the years and am still busy learning. If I have no idea how to tackle an animation project you better believe I will figure it out, and this process of "figuring it out" usually lends itself to results that far will exceed the project specifications.

Illustration & Animation
Most of my animations and illustrations start off as a pencil drawing (or a line drawing in photoshop done with my wacom tablet) and evolve into polished, finished pieces. I enjoy animating everything from characters to particle systems to special effects like fire, rain, water etc. I animate in 2D and in 3D, both on the flash platform either straight up on the timeline or animating with Actionscript 3. In 2D I illustrate and animate directly on the Flash stage and in the code window. For 3D I use the Away3d Engine for Flash (To find out more about this check out my Flash Dev section where I have worked through a few experiments using animation, innovation and real-time 3D in flash).
