Hello, My name is Kevin van Zanten, I am 28 years old and I am a Flashoholic.
I have been an addict now for about 6 years and there are no clear signs of me ever kicking the habit. The experts will tell you not to prey on an addicts willingness to do and give anything to satisfy their selfish cravings. Well I want you to use me. When you love something, never stop doing it.
It is for this reason that I believe I would be a valuable asset to any team or on any project. I NEVER stop learning my trade. I do not believe there is a point in my industry where any designer can sit back and say "Aah, now I am good enough." Trends change, they evolve. If we don't evolve with them then we become stagnant. If we do evolve with these trends however, we can keep up and deliver projects with satisfactory and sometimes even outstanding results. BUT (that's a pretty big but...) if we can learn to stay one step ahead of the curve, we can create projects which are both unique and spectacular.
Innovation + Animation = Innomation
I love Flash, I have made this obvious. My "gateway drug" to my chosen vice in the visual arts world was graphic design. I started creating website interfaces almost 10 years ago. I have been using adobe photoshop since version 5 and have mastered many of it's techniques and intricacies. This means that most design projects I work on are limited only by my imagination (which can be pretty wild sometimes) and not by any technical shortcomings.
I believe that every project I work on needs to be better than the last. This is where I bring the Innovation. If I am not learning along the way then there is no direction to go but down.
Animation is my passion and I believe this is what makes me unique as an artist. With strong skills in graphic design, web development and Flash development I am able to deliver unique and visually appealing works in a much shorter timespan than it would take a less experienced designer.
To quote Tyler Durden : "I say never be complete, I say stop being perfect, I say lets evolve and let the chips fall where they may."
I am not only a web designer. I am not only an animator. I am an Innomator.
